Our team is led by experienced corporate lawyers Chris Peace and David Seddon. Chris has advised on many hundreds of pharmacy transactions over the past twenty years. Recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners for his expertise in the pharmacy sector, he’s an expert in handling acquisitions, disposals, venture capital investments, MBOs, MBIs, joint ventures, de-mergers and corporate restructurings. David has established a reputation as a leading healthcare specialist lawyer, acting for a range of healthcare organisations along with healthcare professionals such as pharmacists, dentists and General Practitioners.
They’re supported by our Head of Healthcare Richard Hough, who gained extensive experience as a pharmacist before entering the legal profession and is extremely well versed in healthcare regulatory issues. He advises businesses and professionals in the pharmacy market on acquisitions and disposals, NHS pharmacy contract applications, relocations, oppositions, appeals, healthcare regulation and fitness to practise cases. He also works with veterinary product manufacturers and suppliers. Richard was the only deal-qualified solicitor in England and Wales for many years and continues to work on the frontlines of dispensing.
Our team also contains practising pharmacist and former chair of the English Pharmacy Board of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, Thorrun Govind. A recognised and trusted figure in the pharmaceutical sector, Thorrun regularly appears on the BBC, Sky, ITV, Talk TV and Times Radio, as well as in print. Her deep insights into the practical challenges and pressures that regulated professionals face provide expertise in fitness to practise matters, registration and restoration applications and appeals on behalf of a wide range of healthcare professionals.
“There's no doubt in my mind that Chris Peace and his team are the number one in their field. From the very first-time I spoke to Chris, I knew that he was the right person for our company to work with. His expertise in the pharmacy sector is hugely impressive and his approach has always been very proactive. His friendly and patient nature has always put me at ease, especially during long and protracted transactions.”

“I recently used Brabners for the sale of my pharmacy. David Seddon and Nathan Samuel were invariably professional, thorough, knowledgeable and friendly. Their guidance throughout the lengthy and complicated process was invaluable and validated my decision to use a firm that specialises in this field. It was reassuring to have them as my legal representatives — and contacting them to clarify particular issues was never a problem. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Brabners to anyone considering selling or buying a pharmacy.”
