Company owners and senior decision makers will hear from experts on business growth and acquisitions at two events organised by independent law firm Brabners, being held in Lancashire in July.
Brabners Business Club
The next Brabners Business Club event will take place on 2 July at our Lancashire office. The quarterly group is designed to give business leaders and professionals from across the county the chance to develop a network of like-minded peers while hearing from experts on key issues which influence their strategy.
Attendees at the July event will hear from Paul Limb, managing director of executive coaching organisation ActionCOACH.
Paul has worked in a range of leadership roles (including as managing director) in UK companies over a 20-year career and with a wide range of business leaders as an executive coach. He'll share insights with attendees on the seven levers to growing a business, including increasing profits and improving cash flow.
At the last Brabners Business Club event (held in April), John Gray — head of funds at UK fund management firm River Capital — gave a topical overview about the different growth funding options for Northern businesses as well as an update on the funding market.
Fylde Executives Club
The second event in July is the Fylde Executives Club, which is being held on 3 July at Lytham Hall.
The quarterly networking group (which was previously known as the Fylde Entrepreneurs Club) is co-organised by Brabners with accountancy firm Brown & Co and FirstComm Recruitment. It's for owners and senior leaders of growing businesses in the area.
Attendees will hear from Daniel Beaumont of Daniel Beaumont Private Investors. He'll discuss his experience of building a group via acquisitions with a turnover of £8m in under four years. This will include benefits and strategies for growth through acquisition and relevant examples for all types of business owners.
Nicola Whittle (Partner, Brabners), said: “Both the Fylde Executives Club and Brabners Business Club continue to gain strong feedback on their speakers’ insights and give executives the chance to get away from their desks and gain different perspectives from networking with other leaders in a collaborative and encouraging environment.
“Daniel Beaumont and Paul Limb are regular attendees at the events they are speaking at and I’m confident the insights they give help our attendees develop their business strategies over the coming years.”
The Fylde Executives Club will also hear from Chris Brannigan of Fylde Rugby Club Foundation about its work in the region and the ways in which business leaders can get involved.
At the last event, executive leadership coach Hamish Hamilton — chair of the world’s largest executive coaching organisation for small- and medium-sized businesses, Vistage Worldwide — led a session on how business leaders can ask better questions rather than feeling they need to have all the answers.
