Jennie is a Partner in our construction team.
An experienced construction lawyer, Jennie has particular expertise in advising on disputed accounts on standard and bespoke construction contracts.
Jennie is a member of our manufacturing and supply chain, real estate and local authority sector groups.
She has a wealth of experience in acting for local authorities, contractors, employers and consultant engineers on a large number of disputes with particular expertise in resolving disputes through adjudication, arbitration, mediation and litigation.
Jennie is also experienced in advising clients on transactional construction matters and regularly advises on and drafts both bespoke and standard forms of construction contracts and associated documents.
She also provides training and workshops to industry professionals and regularly presents on recent updates in construction law.
Jennie has a strong background in contentious construction with particular expertise in adjudication and litigation. Jennie has acted for the successful party in a number of reported cases including acting for the Museum of Liverpool in its claim against the architect and acting for the Spanish EPC contractor; Duro Felguera in a number of high-profile adjudication enforcements concerning the construction of a power station in Manchester. She has also been involved in a number of disputes concerning defective cladding and fire safety issues.
In addition, she has advised on and drafted the suite of construction documentation for high profile residential and commercial developments in the North West including acting for developers De Trafford and Vabeld.
Jennie also has a strong background in acting for local authorities, including advising Manchester City Council on the major leisure and sporting facilities at Belle View Sports Village and the Manchester Institute of Health and Performance.
Jennie also acts for a number of transport and logistics clients, including Maritime Transport Limited.
Jennie is recognised as a Next Generation Partner by The Legal 500 for 2025.
Her clients include local authorities, manufacturers, transport and logistics businesses, banks, developers, contractors, architects, engineers and insurers.
